We recommend that you set up your GinzaMetrics dashboard on the first day of your trial to ensure that you have ample time to begin analyzing your data, tracking competitors and reviewing recommendations.
Add a site. Go to https://app.ginzametrics.com/signin and login to your GinzaMetrics account. Upon your first login, you should be prompted upon to add a website in our onboarding wizard.
Enter your domain name. You’ll notice GinzaMetrics allows flexibility in how you define your site URL and has many valid formats. Once entered, click “Save & Continue.”
Choose a location to target for this site. Your location is used to automatically identify the top three search engines in that country and monitor your keywords on those engines.
Connect an analytics provider. This will allow GinzaMetrics to use your analytics data to show you the true value of your SEO campaigns. Select an analytics provider from the drop down, then click “Save & Continue.”
Note: You may be prompted to allow GinzaMetrics to access your analytics vendor. Select “Allow access” to continue. You may also need to select a site profile or confirm your analytics vendor connection. Follow the prompts for your chosen analytics provider, and then click “Save & Continue.”
Create keyword groups. For general keywords, you may want to create multiple groups based on products, campaigns, geographies or other segments.
Note: GinzaMetrics automatically creates a default group for your brand name so that you can easily separate branded keywords from general or topical keywords. Be sure to enter the broadest number of keywords for your brand.
Add keywords. You have three options to add keywords.
- Manually type the keywords into the box on the screen. Keywords will need to be separated into individual lines by pressing “Enter” after each keyword.
- Import keyword from your analytics provider. A Google Analytics integration will allow you to automatically load the keywords that drove traffic to your site over the last 30 days.
- The third option is using our “Bulk Keyword Actions” tab. With this, you can upload keywords using a .csv file.
Note: You’ll need at least five keywords to get started. Don’t worry if you don’t have an exhaustive list yet, you can easily add more later.
Add Competitors to track. This last step is optional but recommended for the best view of your search results across your market.
Simply add competitor’s domains in the space provided and save. Adding competitors will allow you to track the SEO results of your selected keywords alongside your own.
This will allow you to make improvements or updates quickly, monitor competitive movement, and determine best practices for your search and content marketing campaigns.
